Hi, I'm Susan Paul

Mmmmm … so what can I say about me 🤔
Well, I’m different, would probably be the best description 😂 I don’t fit neatly into a box. I have a ton of life experience. I’m successful, in every area of my life (a bold statement huh 🤣) and I have an amazing life. I’m what some people would call old. But as some wise woman once said “I’m younging gracefully”. I’m not old ! I’ve just turned 60 and I am working out what I want to do with the next 30 years of my life.
I have done many things in my 60 years. I have worked since I was 14. I got my first degree in Genetics, I then went on to study law. I worked in the corporate sector, local government, charities, and eventually I set up my own firm as a Solicitor Advocate in the area of Employment and Discrimination law so that I could look after my two kids when they came home from school, and continue my career. I eventually became an Employment Tribunal Judge, and remained in that role for 5 years. I left the Judiciary to become a Mediator, thinking I would have more impact in the world by helping in conflict resolution. I have continued my legal practice as a Partner with Spencer West, an international law firm that has values that align with everything else that I do.
Whilst working as a Mediator I quickly realised that my experience as a Life and Executive Coach helped me to get to the heart of the issues and allowed my clients to create a sustainable solution that had an impact not only on their own lives but on the lives they touched. Creating Noisy Women is a logical step on my personal journey to have a meaningful impact on the world around me. Over the last 21 years I have designed, nurtured and gained experience of growing a variety of businesses. Some failed and some were successful. Yup I learned the hard way. The business venture that I am most proud of (because it is a success 🤣 ) is the First 4 Health Group. Yes, that’s me on the front page talking as usual about how we can support patients and the NHS. We now have over 180 staff and serve 50,000 patients. We are making a difference. One step at a time.
And in between, I have loved wildly, controversially and passionately, and maintained and thrived in a successful marriage for over 36 years. I have raised two amazing children. I am an Artist. Once upon a time my younger self acted in plays and I was even a star in a short film that was shown at a film festival. I am uniquely unashamedly me. It has not always been easy, but I have lived a very very full life, and have very few regrets that I have not been able to resolve.
And … then at the age of 58 I was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. Wow, I did not see that coming! I just didn’t realise it until COVID hit and my life became so overwhelming, my previous semi-organised self fell off a cliff. A psychologist friend tentatively suggested I may have ADHD. According to my husband (who is a GP) I am one of the most organised people he knows. So, for him, the suggestion did not fit. But, for me, when I was eventually diagnosed, and then managed to read all about it, and went through some therapy to help me process the diagnosis, so many things just fell into place. I'm not always organised. In fact I struggle with it every day. I have just developed systems over the years that have allowed me to flourish when I have created a space that works for everyone … but mostly for me! So, I got a new label, now I’m also neurodivergent. I think differently to many other people. And it's OK. In fact, now that I have had decent coaching to work it all out, I think it’s brilliant. I have a superpower. I think in spheres. Which is perfect for being a Solutions Consultant, Coach and Mentor.
I would love to work with you in any capacity that inspires you to unlock a version of your life that is Joyful, Free and Unique.
With love,
Susan
